The first thing that captivated me on this piece was the ultimate sense of despair carried out by the position of the body. The added detail of the blindfold enriches the agony of painting, just as the uneven squared background and skewed floor. The out stretched arms finish the whole theme, so I would say the reference photo was a very happy choice. Viewer attention is automatically targeted to the open mouth as an imaginary scream.
Textures on the skin, textiles and leather are easily recognisable. A very intricate and possibly excruciating job on the fishnets is also worth mention.
